Born on 14 March 1965 in Bombay (now Mumbai), Aamir Khan’s father Tahir Hussain was a well-known film producer and uncle Nasir Hussain was a famous director. The full name of Aamir, the eldest among the 4 siblings, is Mohammad Aamir Hussain Khan. Aamir is a descendant of freedom fighter Maulana Azad and India’s third President Zakir Hussain. Freedom fighter Abdul Kalam Azad is also his ancestor. Najma Heptulla, the 16th Governor of Manipur, is Aamir’s second cousin.
